Local Business Celebrates 10 Years


Greenfield Center, NY – May 17, 2011 –  The Saratoga Gift Basket Company, a local Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), celebrates 10 years in business this month.  

The Company was founded by Rebecca Cronin to fill a void in corporate gift-giving and has served more than 700 clients with personalized gift-giving solutions.

“In the beginning, we attempted to be all things to all people and focused on personal and special occasion gift baskets,” states Cronin.  “This cost us time, money, and resources.  We learned a great deal through our mistakes and have grown stronger as a result,” Cronin continues.  Over the years, the Company has developed a corporate niche with approximately 85% of its revenue from corporate clients ranging from Health Care, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Real Estate/Development, and Finance/Banking, just to name a few.  The Company has developed trust and credibility throughout the Capital District, as the leading gift-giving solution for its clients.  

In 2009, The Saratoga Gift Basket Company earned its WBE designation by the Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development.  

The Saratoga Gift Basket Company is also a good corporate citizen and has provided local charities with more than $8,500. in donations.

“As we celebrate the past 10 years, it’s a great time to reflect on our success.  Measuring success can be a subjective exercise.  For me, it has meant having flexibility, being there for my family, creating my dream and rising to the challenge, and being able to give back to my community – who continues to support me and my Company,” says Cronin.
